If I had to pick one lipstick to use for the rest of my life and nothing else… I would choose Taupe from MAC!

Here are my 5 favorite MAC purple lippies and my 5 favorite drugstore purple lippies for women on color. I've swatched them on my lips to give you a better idea of the finish and color payoff. If you're not a WOC, don't worry I think that several of the lipsticks featured in this video would compliment any skin tone. Last July I was on the hunt for a brown/90's coloured lipstick, don't know why. Flv file mac. I'm just weird that way ☺. After a lot of umming and aaaaaaahring, I went for Taupe, as opposed to Spice (I think the name was) slightly similar. But, Taupe is a matte finish, so in the end I went for that.

Why do I love this? Holy grail this?

Taupe Lipstick

First I think it really soothes my skin tone. I think it's a dark lip, without it being overpowering, like a red lipstick. I think it looks sophisticated on me and goes with a lot of blush/eyeshadow colors.

I can wear this all year round, this is actually my second one, since I wear it so much.

It's really creamy on the lips, but still looks matt! Ideal!

And the best part is I can just throw it on in the morning and it still looks good. It's not a lipstick that needs to be applied with a lip brush. I even think I could apply this without a mirror ☺

Color-wise I would say this is a my lips but darker and browner kind of colour, a taupe colour but a bit warmer.

The product comes in a metallic black body with a sturdy black cap that is good enough to make it travel-friendly. When applying the lipstick, I did not face any pulling, it is smooth.

Dupe For Mac Taupe Lipstick

Matte Formula:

Office 2013 mac. The matte finish is creamy and there is no shine in the shades, that make some of the shades a bit pasty.

Staying Formula:

As, for the staying time, it persists well for 4-5 hours.

My Favorite Shades:

PLEASE ME, is my choice from the M.A.C matte lipsticks. The long-lasting smooth pink shade gives a fresh look to lips. It goes for every skin tone, but, for dusky tone, there is a need to use a liner of the same color to avoid a whitish look. I loved it because I always go for light shades.

The other shades available are also opaque, rich and apply consistently. The nude shades from the M.A.C matte lipsticks are unique in a sense that they lack conventional undertones and give a real look. It felt a little heavy but, never felt patchy to me.

Quality:

The M.A.C is a brand for which there is no need to be worried about quality. It worth its price.

It is a classic red shade with a creamy formula and no shine matte finish.

MAC Matte Lipstick 'PLEASE ME'

The 4-5 hours long-lasting smooth pink shade gives a fresh look to lips. It goes for every skin tone, but, for dusky tone there is a need to use a liner of the same color to avoid whitish look. I loved it because I always go for light shades.

MAC Matte Lipstick 'MARRAKESH' Memory cleaner freeup space 1 4 0.

The rich brown color is a M.A.C treat for brown lovers. It is a non- shine matte finish with orange undertone.

MAC Matte Lipstick 'NATURALLY TRANSFORMED'

This nude shade is my favorite among all the M.A.C matte lipstick shades. It is long-lasting and highly moisturizing. Skin tones that cannot hold pink nude shades, this one is a perfect shade. Give it a try!

MAC Matte Lipstick 'HEROINE'

It is a beautiful violet shade. It is a new addition in M.A.C matte lipsticks with a creamy formula that make your lips soft and agile. Medium to full coverage can last for 5-6 hours.
